Chuck Brafford

Chuck Brafford, 71, died July 26, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born Juanuary 17, 1936, in St. Charles, IA. He retired from the Y Not Grill after more than 30 years. Chuck enjoyed fishing and antagonizing his family and friend.

He is survived by his wife Doris, after 36 years of marriage, son, James Tharp of Des Moines, one daughter, Susan (Floyd) Paul of Des Moines, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one aunt Dorothy (Earling) Hansen, and a life long friend David Young.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Inez (Craig) and Eldon Brafford, and two sisters; Twilla Jean and Phyllis.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Burial will take place in St. Charles Cemetery, in St. Charles, Iowa. Visitation with family present will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
