Kimberley Lynn Tindrell went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center at the age of 54.
Kimberley was born July 31, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Everett, Sr. and Mildred (Wesley) Tindrell. She was dedicated to serving her mother and was an absolute daddy’s girl. Kimberley was an advocate for youth, the elderly, and people in general. She was warm and friendly and knew no stranger. Kimberley was an ordained preacher and youth pastor and music was her passion. She had an angelic voice and was truly a Praise and Worship leader. She ministered at The Rose, the Mitchellville Prison, and was a member the Potters Wheel Ministries. Kimberley also voluntarily helped her brother at New Jerusalem Church during Sunday services.
Kimberley proudly served her country in the U.S. Army and graduated from Grandview College. While in the Army, Kimberley spent a year in Korea, was active in the military police, and played on the Army’s basketball team. She also played for Grandview College while a student and had coached boys and girls youth basketball. Kimberley received her Master’s Degree June 2013 from South University in Savannah, GA. She was a great cook. She loved Mexican food and was known as the “aunt who made lasagna.” Some of you may also know her as “Sister Saintly”.
Kimberley is survived by her son, Kameron, mother, Mildred, brothers, Everett, Jr., Wesley (Lulu), Stephen (Ruby) and David, sister, Dawnelle (Michael) Conley, and her inherited family, Tyree (Pam), Jason (Charlotte) and Bobbye. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett, Sr.
There will be a Tribute Service held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, from 5 to 7 p.m., on Monday, October 7, 2013. Everyone is welcome to come and share their memories of Kimberley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Union Baptist Church, 1200 McCormick Street. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.

What a wonderful person.......never saw her without that beautiful smile that lit up the room. I will miss her inspiring, encouraging and always positive attitude. Her love for our Lord was the light that shined at all times. My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends who need comforting at this very difficult time. Peace and Love.......

Praise God for the time she spent here with us! Such a wonderful spirit and encouraging word. Sister Kim could beat the FOOL out of a tambourine! She has left us much too soon. Her memory lives in all she touched.

My family send condolences to Kim's family.
I remember Kim from our days at Des Moines General Hospital and how she never knew a stranger and would always make me laugh. She was very special & will be missed dearly.

To Kim's family may the lord keep each of you during your time of sorrow. Know that we will miss Kim because she was a person that you could see the love of God inside of her and each time Kim came to Florida she was just like family. She never met a stranger,and we knew that family

I attended Grandview College and was so very fortunate to play basketball with Dawnelle. So, I knew Kim and the wonderful Tindrell family that was always there in support of all of us. And, what a blessing in my life that was.

So sorry to hear of Kim's passing way too young. I worked with Kim at Des Moines General Hospital. I feel so lucky to have known her - she was a wonderful, caring friend. My sympathies to Kim's entire family.

We served in the Army Reserves together and at lunch time it was always a joy to see "Kim" because she always had a big smile on her face and a short story to tell. So now she can share her smile with other angels. With my deepest sympathy and condolences to the family.

Kim was like a second Mother to me. Growing up had its hard times. And in those hard times I could always call Kim and she was there for me no matter what. As an adult she was still there to help me through tough times with her words of encouragement, and her Love.
She had a passion for God and so had a passion for people. She saw the good in everyone she met always with a smile. I have so many memories of her and with her. I will miss her dearly for she is gone too soon but at rest. I will see you in Heaven . I love you.

I had the chance to fellowship with Kim when she took part in the Kyles' Christmas Songs in the Night. I enjoyed her passion for the Lord and working with her. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
