Charles Brandsfield, 99, was born July 15, 1914 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ella McCaskey and Charles Brandsfield. He passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Valley View Village in Des Moines, Iowa.
Chuck graduated from East High School in 1933 and was a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church. He was an avid fan of the Cubs and Cardinals and enjoyed golfing.
Chuck is survived by his children, Penny (Pete) Rounds, Bud (Kristi) Brandsfield, Bob (Darla) Brandsfield and Mike (Nancy) Brandsfield; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; daughter, Connie Brandsfield; grandson, Timothy Rounds; great-grandson, Corey Brown and sister, Zola Brandsfield.
Graveside services will take place at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation in loving memory of Charles.
