Rose M. Quijano

Rose M. Quijano, 97, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013.

Rose was born January 4, 1916 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Rose is survived by her sons, Raymond Quijano, Richard (BeNita) Quijano and David (Carol) Quijano, daughters, Rosemary Moody, Loretta (Terry) Carnes of Grand Island, NB, Cecilia Backstrom, Nita Crawford and Madelena (Mike) Bolten, 28 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Edward Beltrame and Richard Beltrame, and sister, Mary Quijano. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marquita and Oswaldo Beltrame, husband, Camilo Quijano, brother, Art Beltrame and sister, Olga Carrara.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Avenue, Des Moines with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013 also at Saint Anthony’s with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m.
