Cornelia “Toots” Vogelaar, 97, passed from this life on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Taylor House Hospice.
Cornelia was born October 26, 1915, in Bussey, Iowa, to Peter and Anna Kelderman. She worked as a hostess at Village Inn and Bakers Cafeteria and enjoyed being a demonstrator in grocery stores.
Cornelia is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Bob) Wheeler and Barbara (Barry) Robinson, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, as well as many close friends, especially Jack and Lois Moberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clarence Vogelaar.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with visitation for an hour prior to the funeral.

I would have loved to join you for the funeral but I am not driving after I broke my right leg. My son has to work. Your mother was a wonderful person and I so enjoyed learning more about their lives as I wrote poetry for their celebrations. God bless you and your family.

You have my sympathy and then also Praise the Lord that she is now with the Lord and loved ones.
My parents (Harry & Helen Russell) loved Toots. She was a wonderful friend (your dad too).
I pray that God will give you peace and comfort and joy in knowing you will be reunited again one day!

Aunt Toots lived her life for others and for The Lord. These words ring in my ear as I think of Aunt Toots...Well done thou good and faithful servant...enter thou in to the joys of The Lord.
September 20th. Must have been a glorious reunion in heaven.

What a neat lady. Always welcoming visitors, never afraid to speak her thoughts and willing to share a "Dove Bar". Great memories. She will be missed.
