Richard Isola

Richard Anthony Isola, 78, passed away at his home Sunday, September 15, 2013.

Richard was born January 17, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to Arthur and Stella Claire (Rice) Isola. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. Richard worked in consumer electronics throughout Michigan until 1993, when he moved to Des Moines where he worked as a part time real estate agent until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed playing hockey and fishing. Richard was an avid Detroit Lions and Detroit Red Wings fan.

Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anita; children, Michael (Katherine) Isola, Sharon (Rob) Pasutti, Elizabeth (Andy) Rice, and Christopher (Natali) Isola; grandchildren, Daniel, Brad, Lynsi, Andrew, Michael, Tyler, Taylor, and Kiana; and his great-granddaughter, Giana.

A Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2013, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
