Service Details
Corey Garrett Knowlton, 28, passed away on September 12, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Corey was born on January 2, 1985, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Corey spent his life in Kansas City, Carlisle and Des Moines. He had a passion for expressing himself through music and writing. Composing and singing rap music brought him happiness. His greatest love was for his wife, Aimen, and his children, Devin, Calvin, and Tamia. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Aimen; his three children; his mother, Gerry Ann (Don) Prine; his father, Dale (Donna) Knowlton; his brother, Colin Swift; step-sister, Jane Page; step-brothers, Adam, Jason, and Zachary Prine; and his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, niece, and friends.
Corey was as giving in death as he was in life, by donating his organs and tissue, he has helped approximately 90 people.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will visit with friends following the service at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, MO, on Saturday at 12:00 noon.

To the family : my sincere condolences.
There is no greater pain than the death of a loved one.
Sometimes it seems almost more than a person can bear.
Jehovah God helps us with this in His word,
He promises us that He will put a stop to all sickness
and death will be no more (REV 21;3.4) Jehovah also
shows His love for us through the ransom sacrifice
of His beloved son Jesus Christ. What a wonderful gift to be given !
Then the hope of seeing our loved ones again
on this earth, transformed into a paradise. The Bible tells us
this was Jehovah's will when He created Adam & Eve.
