Karol Lee (Bosworth) DeBolt Robbins

Karol Robbins, 67, was born January 1, 1946, in Des Moines, the daughter of Harry and Agnes (Nittler) Bosworth. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday, September 12, 2013, at UnityPoint Health Des Moines Methodist, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Karol retired from Des Moines University after 30 years of faithful service. She also owned and operated the Dinner Bell at the Iowa State Fair for 27 years.

Karol is survived by her loving husband, Tom Robbins; children, Kimberlee (DeBolt) Sams, Tommy Robbins, and Rusti Robbins; grandchildren, Kristopher, Kasi, Kelsie, and Tanner; great-grandchildren, Jayce, Gage, Logan, Nova, Kaden, Shilah, and Desi; sister, Karen (Jay) Knight; “big brother,” Jack McCuen; ex-husband and close friend, David (Jacque) DeBolt; and other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Randy DeBolt, and granddaughter, Kallie.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
