It is with sad hearts we announce Kathy’s passing. She lost her fight with PAH after seven blessed years and joined her parents in heaven Tuesday morning.
Kathy was a devoted mother, sister, wife and friend as well as a life-long care giver. She and Jerry Cleghorn were married September 8th, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. She was baptized in the spring of 2011.
Kathy worked for Marriott Downtown for seven years. She loved crafts, family time, and being there for anyone, four legged or two. Kathy was an awesome cook who loved to host family dinners for everyone. Gambling was a favorite pastime, as noted by her wedding destination.
Kathy was preceded to heaven by her parents, Kathleen Wingfield-Crooks in 1997 and Thomas E. Crooks in 2011.
She is beloved mother to Crystal Weesner-Baker (Taylor), Jimmy Weesner, and step-daughter Cori Peak; and loving sister to Randy (Michele), Greg (Tracy), Debra, Julie (Mike), Diana (Ralph) and Roger. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.

time for you kids to go on with your life and memories of your mom will be with you.. my heart goes out to the both of you.. jimmy if you need anything remember midge is here for you always...

To Crystal & Jimmy:
Don't think of your mom as gone away,
her journey's just begun.
Life hold many facets,
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting,
from the pain and the tears.
In a place of warmth and comfort,
where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing,
that you could know today.
How nothing but your sorrow,
can really pass away.
And think of her as living,
in the hearts of those she touched.
For no one that was ever loved,
is ever truly lost.
So keep her in your heart,
