Peter G. Dugan 81, was born at home in the Dugan Family Chicago home April 27, 1926. He was the youngest son of John M. Dugan Sr. and Norma Ellen (Dolan) Dugan. On April 28, 2007 he died at the Des Moines, IA home of his daughter Carey Ann Ryan and her family where he lived for the last twelve years.

Peter accepted his diagnosis of lung cancer as a consequence of 54 years of smoking. He spent the last 20 years looking forward to joining his beloved wife, Adele Mason Dugan (58), who also died of lung cancer in 1987. Peter Dugan graduated from St. Viator’s Elementary School, Carl Schurz High School and De Paul University. He served in WWll as a sergeant in the Army, 19th Bomber Squadron, stationed in Iwo Jima. His father and five brothers: Edward J., Thomas C., John M., Phillip D., and James F. (now all deceased) also served in WWII and returned home uninjured. His only sister Norma Marie Pfeifer preceded him in death 1967 at age 33.

Peter G. Dugan married Adele M. Dugan at St. Viator's Church in 1949. To this union of love ten children were born: Paul (Cindy), Timothy (Theresa), Tina Marie (deceased), Carey Ann Ryan (Donald), John (Janet), Clara (Christopher lverson), Mary Beth Kottra (Kenneth), Keith (Nancy), Ellen Norma Kostro (Mark), and Catherine LaBelle (Thomas). Twenty-seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren are already missing the little laugh in their grandpa's voice.

After cremation Peter and Adele's ashes were mixed for all eternity and will be buried in the family plot, at Calvary Cemetery in Woodstock, IL on May 19, 2007.
