Rosemary I. Nicholson

Rosemary Nicholson, 88, was born April 17, 1925, in Webster County, the daughter of James and Myrtle Foster. She passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at her home in Des Moines.

Rosemary was a longtime member of BPO Does Drove #25 where she served as president and treasurer. She enjoyed making doll clothes for the Salvation Army for over 35 years, gifting them to young girls during the holidays.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Diane (John) Natale and Daniel (Elizabeth) Nicholson; eight grandchildren, Richard Natale, Anthony (Darby) Natale, Michelle (Michael) Henson, Kevin Nicholson, Naima Nicholson, Matthew Sandoval, Michael (Jessica) Sandoval, and Lon (Maya) Bromelson; six great-grandchildren, Roman, Malorie, Isaac, Juniper, Avery, and Murphy Rose; sisters, Shirley Fox and Barbara (Robert) Zill, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, son, Dennis Nicholson, and her brother, James Foster, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m.
