Service Details
Deana Ann Amman, 48, passed away at home on September 7, 2013. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA with visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Deana was born on July 21, 1965 to Karen (Sebesta) and Terrance Zortman in Grand Junction, CO. She met the love of her life, John Amman while still in high school and the day she graduated the couple was married. Together they raised four children. She loved growing in her faith, supporting her children, and taking walks with her husband. Deana was also a talented seamstress and enjoyed creating cards.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John; mother, Karen Zortman; sons, Michael (Summer), and Marcus (Monica); daughters, Molly (Brian) Guillaume, and Mara (Jeff) Robertson; grandchildren, Asher, Haven, and Eleanor; sisters, Michelle Hunter and Kimberly Portillo; grandfather, Harvey Sebesta; and numerous other loving relatives.

Our hearts ache for your incredible loss!!! Deana - what a full-of-energy-and-laughter friend! When Deana walked into a room, a party began!!!! Her laugh was one of the most catching I have ever heard! Her heart was so amazingly unselfish and tender! She has left a major hole in this world - that can never be filled! THANK GOD we will get to enjoy her company again one day....she is safely in the arms of Jesus....and she is loving it! That's where the party is!
