Patricia Simpson, 60, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1953, to Alice Johnson and Edward Simpson.
She enjoyed fulfilling multiple jobs for the Saydel School System. Patricia loved going out to lunch and to movies with her sister. But most of all she enjoyed singing and listening to many kinds of music from opera to country music.
Patricia is singing with the Angels now.
She is survived by her sister, Ruby (Donald L.) Wallace; brother, Edward Simpson; nieces, Joyce, and Ashley; nephews, Donald (Peggy), Sean (Danielle), Jonathan (Venis), and Kenny; great nephews, Donovan, Nicholas, and Jacob; great nieces, Bridgit, Skylar, and Annabella.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Simpson; brothers, Gary Simpson, and Kenneth Johnson.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the funeral home.

How sad for your family at the loss of Patty. We were around each other a lot growing up. Rejoicing in her home going. She can now be with your mom and dad and Gary. God Bless you!! These condolences are also from my mother, Dorothy Mason.
