Ryan Thomas McClelland, 24, transitioned from time into painless eternity on Sunday, August 25, 2013. He was the happiest, strongest and healthiest he had ever been.
Ryan was employed by Miller Contracting where he was able to maintain the motorcycles and certified ranges for DMACC. He had a lifelong love of fishing and animals.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Saylor Township Fire Department, 211 NW 54th Avenue in Des Moines.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Dan and Angela; brothers, Scott and Max; grandmothers, Dorothy McClelland and Marj Huber; grandfather, John Paskins; great-grandmother, Betty Reedquist; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, moms and dads from his extended “family.” He is now fishing with his friends and family that have gone before him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a future memorial in loving memory of Ryan.

Thinking so much about all of you these past days. Words just don't seem enough. While it's been a while since our paths have crossed, the Farrell house holds many memories of Ryan. All the boy scouts, sports and overnights were just a few. He was a gentle soul and leaves us with many good memories. We were fortunate to have known him if even for a while. Hold tight to all of the good memories and know that your family and friends are there for you in the days ahead. Hugs and prayers to all of you ~

Angela, Dan and Max, I always enjoyed the time spent with Ryan during the youth activities that we both were involved with. He was always very pleasant when he visited our home. He will be missed.
