Service Details

Emma Cosimo, infant daughter of Jasmine Cosimo passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in her mommy’s arms.

Emma was born on July 27, 2013. In the short time we were able to have our little princess, we learned that she was a lover and a fighter. She fought hard for 26 days until her little body gave out. During those 26 days she loved to be held by her mother, have her toes, fingers and nose played with by her mother, brother, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

She was an angel to us and now she is an angel in heaven. She is our little princess and always will be. We love you arrows to the stars. God now has another beautiful angel.

In addition to her mommy, Emma is survived by her big brother, Ayden Auch; grandparents, Tammy Cosimo Johnson and her husband, Don Johnson and Emelio Cosimo; great-grandmothers, Mary Cosimo and Lois Roe; aunts, Tausha Allen-Cosimo (Amber), and Alicia Cosimo (Joe Rice); cousins, Zerik Allen-Cosimo, Kolton Rice, and Jackson Rice; and many great-aunts, great-uncles, and second cousins. She was preceded in death by her “Popo,” Leonard Cosimo.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mercy Medical Center PICU and NICU staff for helping Emma during her fight.
