Lillian Peterson

Lillian J. Peterson, 79, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Bickford Cottage in Urbandale. Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with visitation two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Lillian was born July 2, 1928 in Des Moines to Elic and Edith (Smith) Lowe. She was a retired benefit claims specialist with Principal. Lillian was a member of Capitol Hill Lutheran Church, Christian Fellowship Class, Mid-American Retirees and Principal Associates.
Lillian is survived by her daughters, Jeannine (Bob) Bowen and Carole (Roger) Taylor; sister, Patricia Gourd; brother, Marvin Lowe; and grandson, Chad Bowen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; two brothers, Mirl and Virgil and a companion of several years, Rick Johnson.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association to be used for the family support and education by the local chapter or Bickford Cottage of Urbandale.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bickford for their genuine care and concern shown for Lil over the last several years, that gave us peace of mind.
