Mary Jo Stewart

Mary Jo Stewart, 72, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born December 5, 1940, in Des Moines, to Raymond “Bud” and Teresa O’Donnell.

Mary Jo is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Phillip) Wageman and Carrie (Mark) Harms; sons, Alan (Donna) Stewart and Joseph Stewart; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Emily, James, Matthew, Alicia, Brianna, and Devon; sister, Kathleen (Robert) Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Michael O’Donnell.

The family will greet friends Sunday, August 25, 2013, from 2 to 5 p.m., with the Rosary recited at 5 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at St. Anthony Catholic, 15 Indianola Avenue. A private family burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery.
