Kimberly Barnes

Kimberly Ann Barnes, 42, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013.

Kimberly was born June 7, 1971, in Des Moines, to Jerry and Phyliss (Collins) Barnes. She is survived by her sons, Justin Stroud, Gaige Kenoyer, and Alex Judge, and their loving fathers, Bob Stroud, Eric Kenoyer, and Steve Judge; her father, Jerry, and step-mother, Pat Barnes; brothers, Michael and Randy Barnes; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyliss, and sister, Chris Barnes.

Kimberly had a heart of gold and loved her kids with every part of her heart and soul. She liked angels and read her Bible. Kimberly was a simple woman and enjoyed the meaning behind even the smallest occurrences. She was a great cook and will be remembered for her homemade noodles. Her family will always remember the way her face lit up with her beautiful smile every time she got to see her boys.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 26, at 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be two hours prior, also at the funeral home.
