Freddie Lee Deeds, Sr.

Fred was born June 18, 1950, to Freddie M. and Edna L. Deeds in Unionville, Missouri. He graduated in 1968 from Tech High School, and was united in marriage to Marjorie “Maggie” A. Launsdale on July 31, 1970. Fred retired from Beisser Lumber in February 2013, and passed from this life on Friday, August 16, 2013.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Maggie; two great sons: Lee, his wife Leah, and their children Jason, Nathan and Caleb; and Brian, his wife Jenny, and their children, Emily, Andrew, and a baby boy due this fall; three brothers, Randy (Linda), Mike (Kay), and Terry (Ruby); his mother, Edna Minter; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Fred enjoyed NASCAR, Sprint Car racing, wood working, and camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his father; father-in law and mother-in-law, Ritzen and Marjorie Launsdale; brother-in-law, Charlie Launsdale; niece, Jennifer Deeds; and nephew, Keith Freeborn.

It was Fred’s wish to be cremated. A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for distributions to Fred’s favorite charities.
