Service Details
Isaac Dene Akers, 10, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013, at his home in Cambridge. He was born September 17, 2002, in Leon, Iowa, the son of Michael and Rachel Akers.
Isaac loved to sing and dance to Michael Jackson and One Direction.
Isaac is survived by his mom and dad, Rachel and Michael; two brothers, Zach Larkins and Corey Akers; grandparents, Nelson Garr, Kathleen Akers and Angie Garr; great grandma, Norma Jean Garr; aunts and uncles, Blake and Heather Corum, John and Elissa Garr. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Harold Dene Akers.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. The family will greet friends two hours prior to service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Isaac.

Randall and I both send are condolences to you both and your family. I feel so blessed to have got the opportunity to be his babysitter when he was younger and through your videos posted on facebook as he got older. Your son was such a brave boy and I'll never forget him.
