Deloris L. "Dee" Henry

Dee Henry, 86, passed away Friday August 16, 2013, at her home surrounded by family. She was born May 7, 1927, in Seymour, IA, the daughter of Joseph and Rilla Charlton.

Dee retired from Wells Fargo after 30 years of service. She loved fishing with her husband Dean. She was an avid card player and loved playing cribbage and other card games with her children and grandchildren!

Dee is survived by her children, Jeri Hedgecock, Kris (Larry) Trumper, Max Sloan, Jr. (Karan), Vivian Arnold, Diane (Wally) Lenczowski, and Roxie (Frank) Miranda, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dean.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday August 20, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, IA, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ankeny, IA, or UnityPoint Hospice – Taylor House, in loving memory of Dee.
