Justin Michael Steele, a.k.a. Turbo, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the age of 21.
Justin was born September 26, 1991 in Des Moines to Jack and Julie Steele
He loved heavy metal music and had taught himself to play guitar by ear. Justin enjoyed motocross and dirt bikes. He was a self-appointed care giver to his mom, Julie, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Justin is survived by his parents, Jack and Julie; sister, Jessica; grandmothers, Julia Kauffman and Dorene Steele; grandfather, Jerry Kauffman, Sr.; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Joleen Kauffman and grandfather, Jack Steele, Sr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Justin.

Justin I will cherish the wonderful 21 years you gave us. But I was so amazed that a child would give up his life to take care of his mom. One day we will meet again and walk together as nothing has changed. But they say the good die young, but this is so unfair. I will keep fighting so that you can live on through me. Turbs, I just want to let you know no matter happened between all of us at the end I considered you my brother and friend every day since I met you. Without you I would of never met so many amazing people. I enjoyed the countless hours we spent together jamming and hanging out, we all miss you a lot. My prayers go out to the Steele family during this sad time, we loved you Justin!!!
I'll be waiting for the day I see you again , I'll bring my guitar!!

Turbs, you will be missed, you were a good friends and even after things went down between us you were always a brother to the guys and I. Still very unreal that your gone after 11 years of knowing you. My condolences with the Steele family.

I love you Justin, I remember just last Wednesday I told you I loved you and I squeezed you tight and told us I love us, and you told me you loved me too and that we would bug each other tomorrow since you had moms phone, well little did we know that you would be taken that day, I keep playing in my mind our last words to teaching and I will cherish them forever, u will always be in my heart till the day we meet again, turbo I hope your rockin out on your guitar up there, I want you to know I am still blown away by how good you played your guitars, you where altogether a great man, brother, and son and we are going to miss you with everything we have! I am just so devastated for you and your family Julie I can't stop crying. I remember him putting on your facebook when you were in the hospital asking for prayers and thinking what a thoughtful, caring young man who truly loves his mother and for how lucky you were. My daughter is only two months younger than him so I have so much empathy for you I'm bawling when I didn't know him. May God be with you during this extremely difficult time. Love ya
