Arlene Pool

Arlene A. Pool, 91, passed away July 20, 2007 of cancer at Kavanagh Hospice on Grand. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Arlene was born May 25, 1916 in Des Moines, Iowa.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Hanke of Fontanelle, Iowa; son, Larry (Janet) Pool of Des Moines; grandchildren Teresa (Kenyon) Wood, Brian Hanke, Bret (Teri) Hanke, Andrew Hanke, David Pool, Sandra (Derrick) Sharpe, Linda (Douglas) Pool – Fils; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; half sister, Minnie Mirabelli of Pacifica, California and half brother, Everett (Martha) Heuckendorf of Creston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVern; son, James; son-in-law, Alfred Hanke; and sister, Cathryn Goetz.
