I remember visits to the "House" when I was young, during summer trips to see Grandma and Grandpa's in Des Moines. Always had a great time with Uncle Eddie, Uncle Gene, and Aunt Vera. I remember one Thanksgiving when it was so very cold, and the whole house was packed! Great times, with great people!

Ed was a marvelous fellow and a great addition to our Fitness Center group. His singing, his smile, his happy disposition will be sorely missed by all of us; certainly me.

Ed was a gentleman and loyal friend, a mainstay on the sundeck at the Riverfront Y over many, many years. Ed was well-versed on a wide range of topics and had such a variety of interests not many people can talk sports and opera in one sitting. He and Eddie reminisced about their childhood days in Des Moines, and both had great recollections of the people and places in the city from the 1930s on.
Our prayers to the Lipovac family.

I always enjoyed visiting with Ed at the Riverfront YMCA-- especially hearing stories of his youth and growing up in Des Moines. He was a very dear man. My sympathies to your family.
