Ernest E. Dennis

Ernest Eugene Dennis, 57, was born to Bobby Jewell Dennis and Queen Esther Smith Dennis in Little Rock Arkansas on July 11, 1956. He attended public school in Des Moines, IA and was a 1974 graduate ofDes Moines Technical High School.

While enrolled at the University of lowa's School of Pharmacy, he met the love of his life Sandra Shavonne Lowe of Chicago, IL. They were united in holy matrimony on August 11, 1979. Because of family obligations, Ernest chose to withdraw from his studies at the university and went to work for the Iowa City Department of Sanitation, retiring in 2009.

Ernest and Sandra were devoted to their faith and worshiped at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was baptized in the faith June 17, 1977. Through his work and dedication he was appointed Elder in 1983 served as Pioneer twice, from 1987 to 1995 and then started back up again in 2009 to current.

Left to cherish Ernest's memories are his loving wife and daughter Sandra and Keara Dennis of Iowa City, IA; both parents, Bob Dennis and Queen Dennis of Des Moines; brothers, Henderson, Robert and Charles, all of Des Moines; sisters, Rose (Joe) of Des Moines, Barbara Faye (Pete) of Minneapolis, MN; special nieces Ann and Jan of Des Moines and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Earl and sister Hadaasha Maryam.
