Beverly Jean Bagley

Beverly Jean Bagley, 80, died Saturday, July 20, 2013, at UnityPoint Health Des Moines Methodist. She was born January 13, 1933, in Des Moines, to Earl and Ethel Kern.

Beverly was a woman with a lot of spunk. She enjoyed fishing, camping, doing puzzles, collecting things and spent her life being a homemaker and raising her children. At Christmas time, Beverly loved to bake cookies and candy for everyone, especially her son and sons-in-law. Most of all, Beverly cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and her long time companion, Harry.

Beverly is survived by her children, Pamela (Roger) Hulbert of Earlham, Rhonda (Lloyd) Uitermarkt of Monroe, and Ron (Denise) Bagley of Earlham; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild; brother, Jim Kern; sister, Cheryl Rumley. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Bagley; granddaughter, Valerie Hulbert; her parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with burial at Altoona Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be designated at a later date, in loving memory of Beverly.
