Bo (Bac) Thi Luong, 95, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born December 16, 1917, in Sonla, Vietnam, and moved to the United States in 1975.
Bo lived in California for over twenty years before moving to Des Moines in 1998. She loved to dance and spent many years teaching dance lessons to children.
Bo is survived by her children, Kinh Thi (Ngao Vi Van) Hoang, Ich Mehl Hoang, Nun Van (Chau Thi Nguyen) Hoang, Nin Thi (Chinh Van Vi) Hoang, Loi Van (Kasay Hoang) Hoang, Thu Thi (Som Van Luong) Hoang, and Quy Kim (Manivone Hoang) Hoang; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tieng Van Hoang.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
Bo will be buried next to her husband at El Camino Mortuary in San Diego, California.

Ba Noi. I miss you. Ong Noi and you are still in my dreams. Thank you for raising me as a child. I still have memories of you feeding me sticky rice with coffee, oranges with fish sauce, water and cereal, but you didn't know better. I was only 4 year's old. I will always love you. Rest in peace grandma. :(
