Clara M. Zagnoli, 83, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa.
Clara was born April 23, 1930, in Des Moines, to Lee and Anna (Peel) Zagnoli. She was baptized at St. Peters Catholic Church and has been a lifetime member. She graduated from East High School, and then for many years worked at Equitable Life Insurance of Iowa.
Clara is survived by brother, Robert J. Zagnoli, and sister, Della White, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tony Zagnoli, Joseph Zagnoli, Robert Peel, and Leo Zagnoli; and sisters, Marie Thoren and Grace Zagnoli.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013, at St. Peters Church, 618 E. 18th Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 12, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peters Church.

Remembering the Zagnoli family thru my sister, Frances (Foshe) Briant. My siter always got together with Clara & Grace for many a meal and good time. Zagnolis was a very nice family. I really enjoyed visiting with them when Fran would get together with them. Clara was a very bright young lady and a lot of fun, as was Grace. May God Bless this family.
