David Lockridge, 50, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his siblings, Dennis (Peggy) Lockridge, Tom Lockridge, Susan (Jeff) Snelling, and James (Ingrid) Lockridge; nieces and nephews, Chris Lockridge, Angela (Michael) Smith, Amber (Michael) Perron, and Jennifer Lockridge; great-nieces, Stephanie Lockridge and Sara Duarte; and great-nephew, Bradley Lockridge. He joins his parents, Robert and Betty Lockridge, who preceded him in death.
David was born January 4, 1963, in Des Moines. He graduated from North High School in 1981. He played quarterback for the North High Polar Bears and enjoyed his high school reunions. David had his Associate Degree in Science (Criminal Justice) from Iowa Lakes Community College, attended Simpson College for continuing education, and was employed as a probation officer for the 5th Judicial District for Polk County for 19 years. David was a very tidy and meticulous person. He enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, and all sports. David liked baking, cooking, and gardening, and loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
In accordance with David’s wishes, his body has been cremated. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m., also on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of David.
To honor David as a proud North High Alum, please wear green and white to the service.

David, may Gods love and peace be with you. You will be missed. I thank you for the laughter and memories. My sincere condolences to David's family, it is a tragic loss of this young man.
