David Lockridge

David Lockridge, 50, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his siblings, Dennis (Peggy) Lockridge, Tom Lockridge, Susan (Jeff) Snelling, and James (Ingrid) Lockridge; nieces and nephews, Chris Lockridge, Angela (Michael) Smith, Amber (Michael) Perron, and Jennifer Lockridge; great-nieces, Stephanie Lockridge and Sara Duarte; and great-nephew, Bradley Lockridge. He joins his parents, Robert and Betty Lockridge, who preceded him in death.
David was born January 4, 1963, in Des Moines. He graduated from North High School in 1981. He played quarterback for the North High Polar Bears and enjoyed his high school reunions. David had his Associate Degree in Science (Criminal Justice) from Iowa Lakes Community College, attended Simpson College for continuing education, and was employed as a probation officer for the 5th Judicial District for Polk County for 19 years. David was a very tidy and meticulous person. He enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, and all sports. David liked baking, cooking, and gardening, and loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
In accordance with David’s wishes, his body has been cremated. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m., also on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of David.
To honor David as a proud North High Alum, please wear green and white to the service.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Dave's family as you mourn his passing. Dave was a high school classmate, but I only really got to know him at class reunions in the past couple of years. I am so glad I got that chance. Rest in Peace Dave

I will miss David. We worked together for a while at the 5th District. David was always upbeat, always had a smile, he was a hard worker, and friend. My sincere condolences to the family. My prayers are with you all.

So sad to hear about the loss of David way too early. David was a rare person, never saying anything bad about anyone, he always had a smile and a laugh to share with his co-worker. Prayers and thoughts for his family. RIP David.

I had the pleasure of having David as my Supervisor with the Fifth Judicial District. David was a great man and always had time for his employees. He had an incredible amount of knowledge to pass on. I am so sorry to hear that he passed on to the next life.

I've know David since elementary school and he was a friend to everyone that knew him. David would go out of his was to help anyone and always had a kind word to share. He will be truly missed.
