Patricia “Pat” Foster, 76, passed away at home on July 6, 2013 surrounded by her family after a two-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Pat was born August 18, 1936 to Gertrude and Bryan Crow in Des Moines, Iowa. She was married to Jerry Foster on September 12, 1954 and traveled with him during his Navy and college years. They made their home in West Des Moines most of their 59 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband Jerry, four children; Jerry (Nancy) Foster of Clive, Iowa, Randy (Deb) Foster of Urbandale, Iowa, Scott (Jenny) Foster of West Des Moines, Iowa and Vicki (Max) Tahsuda of Norman, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren: Brooke(Wade) Den Hartog, Ryan (Angie) Foster, Regan (Libby) Foster, Kaity (Nick) Hunsberger, Brandt (Lindsay) Foster, Alex (Kayla) Foster, Jessika Foster, Leeanne (Kent) Finley, Kevin (Courtney) Foster, Jeff Tahsuda, Colin (Lizzy) Tahsuda, Trey (Haley) Tahsuda, Tyler Tahsuda; six great-grandchildren with a seventh on the way; brother, Jerry (Carol) Crow; brother-in-law, Jim Foster; sister-in-law, Lorry Jennings; and several nephews and nieces.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

We are so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I feel blessed have known Pat in my "younger" days. What fond memories our family has of her and the entire Foster family. I knew and worked with Pat (and Jerry) for almost 10 years. She is without a doubt one of the kindest people I have ever met. Pat had such a cute sense of humor and I smile as I recall the stories and jokes she told about her children and husband. Pat's presence on Earth will be greatly missed.
