Emma “Lou” Borrell, passed away on her 88th birthday, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center.
Lou was born in Opheim, Montana, to Nathan and Thresa Wert. She served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the Women’s Army Corps Veterans Association. Prior to enlisting in the Army, Lou worked for Boeing as a riveter. She later retired from Pioneer after many years of service.
Lou was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Borrell, and her son, William Borrell. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Dear Borrell family,
Please accept my deep regrets for your loss, You don't know me but I wanted to share what helped me when I lost my whole family to this enemy death which always brings grief and pain but I found comfort and hope in what Jehovah Gods word the Bible says at John11:11 and Mark5:39 that they're just asleep and Jesus states at John5:28,29 that I'll see them again and this helps me get through each day because I miss them so much. I do hope that by your reading these scriptures in your Bible that you'll find hope and comfort also for this is my purpose in sharing this with you.
Please know that I do share your grief and truly hope this has helped in some way.
