Merle Buttz

Merle Buttz, 54, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 30, 2013. Merle was born December 11, 1958, in Lake City, Iowa, to Merle Sr. and Ethalinda Buttz. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Marines. Merle was a hard worker and loved working with his hands. He was self employed as a handyman and loved to hunt and fish.

Merle was preceded in death by his father, Merle Buttz, Sr., mother, Ethalinda Faust, and brother, Rick Buttz.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Buttz, and siblings, Lance, Denise, Ricky, Randy, Robin, and Marty, as well as many extended family and friends.

Burial with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.
