Waiting for our hearings to be called Al was always chatty. He would tell us about the wrestlers he was coaching and his enthusiasm was so engaging.
His students always wanted to wrestle him, but there are many of them and there was only one Al. Occasionally he would give in to their request, but he knew he would need some serious Advil after. Other times, he would say, "No, I am going to be with my wife tonight, no wrestling!" I love Al and will never forget him.

Al was a good man, a valued and appreciated colleague for over twenty years, and my friend. He's resting now in a quiet, peaceful place. But, I miss him here. I was blessed to know him. My prayers go out to his family. God loves you all, forever.
