Gary Murphy

Gary Gene Murphy, 54, died June 24, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1958, to Harold and Donna Murphy in Delphos, Iowa.

He worked at Tim Hildreth Company, Wesley Acres, and Southeast Polk Schools. Gary loved NASCAR races, walking, bicycling, camping, and fishing.

Gary is survived by his mother, Donna; brothers, Mike (Pam) and Bill Murphy; sisters, Lauri Bloss and Barbara (Kevin) Jackson; long-time companion, Laura Carr; and eight nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold.

Memorial visitation will be 2 – 4 pm, Saturday, June 29, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the family.
