Ray Grimm

Ray Grimm, Sr., 60, passed away at Iowa Lutheran Hospital on Friday, June 21, 2013.

Ray was born January 1, 1953, in Des Moines. He had a heart of gold and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, who were his life. He enjoyed the Friday night races at the Fairgrounds, and was a push truck driver for over 30 years. He was a NASCAR and sprint race fan. He loved motorcycles and riding his Harley.

Ray is survived by his wife, the love of his life, LuAnn; children, Missy, Jason, Buzz, Tiffany, Butch, Nikki, Colette, Jessica, and Maria; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Sheri Pam, Julie, Carol, Jean, Sandi and Toni; four brothers, Mark, Oz, Tom Jr., and Todd; many many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Gloria Davis; son, Ray Jr.; and his niece, Kelly.

Services for Ray will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 26.
