Gary Bills, 78, passed away June 18, 2013. He was born July 31, 1934, to parents George and Hazel Bills.
Gary had a love for fishing; he was known as “Flathead Harry.” He also enjoyed hunting, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by daughters, Gaylene (William) Rick of Des Moines, IA, Vickie Salisberry of Centerville, IA, and Connie (Sam) Bills of Mystic, IA; son, Marty Northway of Des Moines, IA; as well as eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his son, Gary Bills of Des Moines, IA; daughter, Judy Hayes of Kansas City, MO; grand-daughter, Bernadette Cameron of Kansas City, MO; Betty Bills and Ruthie Bills of Des Moines, IA.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2013, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel. Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Southtown Baptist Church, 6001 S.E. 5th Street.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Gary.

I remember growing up around Uncle Gary and Aunt Betty. The summer I lived with all of you was one of the best of my life. Although I haven't been around much the last 20 years or so I still love and miss all of you.

I remember Gary going fishing with my Dad, Harry. They would go to Minnesota and catch the biggest fish I ever saw. What was the best part of them going fishing together was my Aunt Betty and Gaylene and Gary would come stay the weekend with us. When they came home with those huge fish we were all so proud. I will miss you Uncle Gary!

It has been pleasure to have Gary as a neighbor and friend. My prayers will be with the family asking for the Lord's comfort and encouragement.
