Louise E. Brownfield

Louise E. Brownfield, 95, passed away on June 17, 2013 in Omaha, NE. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.
Louise was born on April 17, 1918 to Martha and Orvil Hinds in Des Moines, IA. She was their only child. Louise lived her whole life in Des Moines except for the past 10 months in Omaha to be closer to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; daughter, Peggy; and great-great-grandson, Jeremiah Rosenberger. Louise is survived by her son, Steve and daughter-in-law, Judy; two granddaughters, Stephanie (Michael) Rosenberger, and Rebecca (Matt) Vanderholm; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren all of Omaha, NE.
Louise was an 80 plus year member of Plymouth Church, participating in several women’s groups. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, having retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a legal secretary. She was also a life member of the Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.

I have so many fond memories of Louise. I deeply grieve with the family. She was a much loved, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be mourned by many.
