I was so sadden to read about Jan's passing. With my 3 kids all in school I went back to DMMAC to get a graphic design degree. Jan was one of my design instructors. We had great fun since I was the oldest student in class (10 years her senior). We met up again as she became a quilter. I am so greatful to have had her in my life.
She will be missed my many.

"Good morning, Sunshine!" I won't be able to hear those words again without thinking of Jann. What an uplifting, giving, fun, and super creative woman I was blessed to work with for almost a decade. She made our magazines better and made ME so much better for having known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Kirk, Kate, and Ryan.

While it has been many years (1974-1980 - during the Rugby years) since I've seen and spent time with Jann, I've thought of her often and her "joie de vivre," the joy of living she personified. I'm not sure I've ever met another person with the pure and simple joy she had for everything. She was the best and I send my condolences to her family. Know that God's loving arms are wrapped around you in your loss of Jann.

Jann was one of my instructors at DMACC in the commercial art program, and I'll never forget her wisdom, guidance and humor. Today, I'm a graphic designer and also adjunct faculty at a local community college. I often think back to time in Jann's class as inspiration when I stand before a new semester's students. Peace, love and light to her family in their time of loss.

I enjoyed the many times I spent with Jann. She had an infectious laugh and a warm smile. I was able to enjoy quilting quilts for her and to see her wonderful talent in each project she brought to me. I am a better person just for knowing her and I will greatly miss her.

Jann was an amazing person in so many ways. She was always good at putting smiles on others faces - even via FB while she was dealing with all of this. Kirk, Ryan & Kate, you are all in our family's prayers. She touched us in so many special ways thru the years we attended NHUMC & so glad we got to see her a while back. Hartman recalls the fun he had with her in the Arts & Crafts room of VBS. What a special lady & we pray for all of you during this challenging time - that you find comfort in knowing she's with Jesus & will have her arms outright when it's each of our times to go be with Jesus as well. With our deepest sympathy,
The Meints'

It was my pleasure to work with Jann on many quilt-related publications at Meredith Corporation. She was so creative. So willing to share ideas. I will miss our times together on photo shoots. She had a great eye for color and design. I will miss the times we talked about how she was going to "Spargo-it-up."
She adored her husband and children. Even though I didn't know her children, I felt like I did because she always wanted to fill me in on their latest adventures as young adults. She loved her church family. It was fun to hear what the VBS craft was going to be each year.

Oh Kate. My mom just forwarded this to me, and I can't express how sorry I am to hear about your mom. She was such a positive, enthusiastic, fun person. She was awesome. I am inspired by her zest for life, positive attitude toward her illness, her faith, and the strong fight she maintained throughout. You and your family are absolutely in my prayers. She will be greatly missed I know! Respectfully, Suzanne
