Dale Clark

Dale L Clark was born in Des Moines, Ia. in 1935 to Gordon and Emma Clark. He passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013. He passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, surrounded by family.

He graduated from North High School in January 1954. After graduation he went into the U.S. Navy, worked at Meredith Corp., the Main Post Office and then retired from the South Side Post Office 1960-1990. He loved coaching at Ft. DM little league baseball, watching the Chicago Cubs, fishing, camping, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was a true believer in his Savior, Jesus Christ, and looked forward to being in His loving presence. He also looked forward to reuniting with his loved ones in Heaven. Dale is the newest greeter at the Pearly Gates.

Dale is survived by marriage to Pam; his children, Derrick of Ca., Kristy (Ron) Edgington of Il., Brian (Rhonda) and Kara; stepson, Jason (Wendy) Jenks of Ia. and four grandchildren.

He is preceded by his parents, his sister, Mardell, and first wife, Myrna.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at St. James Cemetery in Clare, Iowa.
