Robert Long

Robert D. Long, 81, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Bondurant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Robert was born April 29, 1926 in Des Moines to Foster “Frosty” and Bessie Mae (Staley) Long. He retired from Pepsi Cola Bottlers.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen; and his sister, Marilyn Bemisdarfer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Sam, John “Jack” and Richard “Dick” Long; and his sisters, Cora Mae, Ruth, Margaret and Carole.
