Kevin Alvin Teel

Kevin Alvin Teel, 44, passed away on June 9, 2013. Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Kevin was born on December 12, 1968 to Norma (Harris) and Kenneth Teel in Sioux Falls, SD and was raised in Brandon, SD. He was a high school graduate of Brandon Valley High School and attended North West Iowa Community College in Sheldon. He worked for Logan Contractor Supply but out side of work he held a lot of pride in his yard and all of his tools. Besides enjoying going to work, Kevin enjoyed working on other people’s broken equipment. He was known for being a jokester, making people laugh, his bonfires, his love of NASCAR, playing cards and hanging with friends.

Kevin loved his dogs and cats but most of all he loved and cherished going to the Iowa Cubs games and Menard’s with son, Tyler and helping with his baseball team; going and watching daughter, Lexi's swim team and just hanging out.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Tyler and Lexi; siblings, Tammy (Chris) Andela and their son, Phillip (Kerri) Andela; Keith (Darcy) Teel and their children, Kasey (Paul) Swenson, Megan Teel and Justin Teel; Staci (David) Shabino and their children, Ryan Shabino, Katie Shabino and Kim Shabino; brother in-law, Troy (Julie) Krengel and their children, Katie Krengel and Kelsey Krengel; sister in-law, Stacey (Loren) Sassman and their children, Shawna Sassman and Jesse Sassman; step-dad, Dave Edwards; step-grandma, Annie Harris; step brothers, Michael Edwards, Patrick (Heather) Edwards and their children, Anthony Edwards and Alexander Edwards; and many aunts, uncles and friends.
