Otis Dey

Otis D. Dey, 85, died Friday, July 13, 2007 at Taylor House Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Otis was born February 19, 1922 in Warren County and had lived in Des Moines since 1944. He served in the Army during WWII. Otis worked as a mechanic for Colonial Bakery for 42 years before his retirement in 1983.
Otis is survived by his wife, Sharon Dey; children, Don Dey, Ruth Lilly, Sherry Lilly and Jim Lilly; and six grandchildren, and his dog Buddy.
His special love was watching the birds and squirrels.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be made at the funeral home.
