My condolences to the Bobenhouse Family. We can always count on the Bible for comfort, I always find this scripture especially encouraging I hope you will as well. Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Thats a sure promise from our Heavenly Father Jehovah along with the promise to resurrect our dear loved ones sleeping in death. John 5:28,29. Acts 24:15. So sorry to hear of Vince's passing. He helped us build Iowa State's second solar car in 1992/1993. Spent LOTS of time teaching us all how to do every step. Heck of a guy!

To Vince's family: Vince had quite a positive impact on many of us young engineers on the Iowa State University Solar Car Team in the early 1990's. Even to this day, any time I smell automotive paint or fiberglass resin, I instantly think of Vince's shop there off 2nd Avenue in Des Moines. He spent hours teaching us how to work with fiberglass, paint, and make the molds for the PrISUm II solar car the best we could make them. I'm still amazed how at 70 years old (back then), he would hop up and down on the platforms we were working on as quick as any of us "college kids." There were also stories of Puerto Rico and his days in the Navy (with JFK I think). We couldn't have made that solar car a reality without him. He taught me a lot. My deepest condolences to the family, and my heartfelt thanks to Vince! He will surely be missed.
