Words cannot begin to describe how Shellie impacted my life! She always had a ready smile and a sharp retort. Her quick wit and happy continence brought unlimited joy to all around her.
Shellie was one of the few people in my life who actually understood the battle I was going through caring for my mother with Alzheimer's. Having gone through that battle herself with her grandmother gave her great insight into what my life was like. She helped me SO much. We traded stories daily about the trials and tribulations and the rare gems we would experience. I read her the book I was writing about living with Alzheimer's and she told me she would purchase the first copy. Shellie... I know you won't be able to do that now... however... I'm dedicating the book to you because you helped me stay strong throughout the entire journey. I love you Shelli and will miss you greatly!

There are so many unique and special people you run into in your lives. Shel was definetly one of them. She had a heart of gold and a mean streak in her a rattle snake was crawl under a rock to get away from.. She is truly loved by the people she let in to her world and for those who didnt they missed a very rare and geniune soul. Ill miss our mornings at work wether it was a quick smile or you calling me big dummy or me calling you wench ... we always seem to bring a smile to each other no matter what kind of day each of us was having. I'm going to miss you ton shel! you know I have a love for you and great respect .... gonna miss you wench ....Tony

That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.
