Patty J. Cherryholmes, 62, passed away at her home Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
Patty was born June 26, 1951, in Des Moines to Lewis and Shirley Sharp. She loved to shop, garden, cook, and spend time with her beloved grandchildren. Patty was also an avid Hawkeye fan.
Patty is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Patrik) Gibbons; grandchildren, Christian, Noah, Jillian, Katelyn and Emily; sisters, Nancy Nelson and Cathy Van Houten; brothers, Jimmy Sharp and Danny Sharp; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jerry Lee Cherryholmes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of your loss. My sister Diane Mason was in Patty's class in school. She passed away in 2011. It is a difficult time, but hope you can find comfort in her memories.

So sorry to read of the loss of your mother. I never met her or you Jenny, but feel as though I know you threw your dad. I worked with Jerry at the Post Office for years . His family was his life, he loved the both of you so much.
