Wilbur L. McClintic, 88, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Wilbur was born December 8, 1924, in DeSoto, Iowa, to Lou and Vera McClintic. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a lifetime member of the Osceola American Legion and VFW. He retired from Armstrong Tire in 1986 after 39 years of service.
Wilbur is survived by his son, Mark (Paula) McClintic; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Leona McClintic; second wife, Hetty Mary McClintic; children, Wilbur McClintic, Jr., David McClintic, and Roberta Ziebell; and his siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

God Bless you Uncle Wilber
A lot of what I carried into my adulthood, I learned from this man. The love of family, firmness tempered with kindness, work ethic, the love of country. I will miss you and the sparklers we all would light on the 4th of July.
