E. Davida Harvey, 77, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center.
Davida was born January 4, 1936, in Chariton, Iowa, to Francis and Elva Halferty. She attended A.I.B. College and retired from the accounting department at Mercy Medical Center. Following her retirement, Davida worked part-time at Hardees for 10 years.
Davida is survived by her sons, Scott (Lana) Harvey and John (LaVon) Harvey; sister, Frances Schultz; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale and her son Steven.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Scott & John I am deeply sadden to hear about the loss of your mother & my friend. The Halferty's were a big part of my life while growning up in Chariton. Both Davida & Lois remained part of my life as an adult in DSM. Miss them both. After all of these years, I still have dreams of Lois returning home. Thanks for letting me know.
