Service Details
Carl Gustav Falk, Jr., 95, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Fountain West Health Center in West Des Moines.
Carl was born in Des Moines on July 7, 1917, to Carl Gustav, Sr., and Josephine Falk. He was a longtime member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife Betty. He is survived by his sons, Gary L. Falk and his wife Janet of Murrieta, CA, Mike Falk, and Craig Falk of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 1, at Grandview Park Baptist Church, 1701 E. 33rd Street, with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Grandview Park Baptist Church or Iowa Hospice.

Now AE has a delivery route in heaven. Carl and Betty are together again. Sympathies from an old neighbor on Urbandale Ave. I'm sorry I was unable to attend services.

Carl was our AE milkman the entire time I was growing up on 56th St. He was more than just a delivery man, he was our friend. Even after we had grown up and left my parents continued home delivery because Carl was on the route and they weren't going to quit until he did.
He'd come into our house and put the milk right in the refrigerator, then as he was leaving he'd look at us kids and say "Don't take any wooden nickels." He was a great guy. I'm very sorry for your loss.
