I was in banking for over forty years and of all the accountants and examiners I encountered Ross was very professional and the most outstanding I ever met. A truly great guy and will be sadly missed at my bank. Deepest condolences on your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I had the pleasure of spending an evening or two with Ross each and every year while we interviewed coaches for the WDM Youth Football League. He gave his time willingly and he was serious about the interview process as he wanted only the best mentoring our kids. We'd have pizza during the breaks between interviews and shoot the breeze with Coach Swenson about football. I was stunned to hear of Ross's passing and I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and kids. I'm glad I knew this good man.

Lisa, I am simply praying for God's comfort and strength for all the Smiths in your time of utter loss, weakness, disbelief, doubt. Pro. 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Lisa, there are no words that can be said at this time that you will remember. Each step you take in this fog of life is something you will try to remember in months to come. The people who reached out to you the kind words in passing are all important and a fleeting thought. You know you are loved and will also feel alone in the same moment. No one person can understand your grief and loss, but God can be the lap you jump into any cry "I can't do this!" He is OK with your anger and confusion. We will never understand, on this side of heaven, the "why" behind tragedy, but He is there and He can handle your grief and loss. It is all just words right now, but my prayer will be for your peace beyond understanding as you walk through this season. Breathe. Allow yourself to be mad. Breathe again and know that the Father is weeping with you. Mathew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"
